Terms of Use

Last Updated: October 1, 2026

Effective Date: October 1, 2026

These Terms explain your responsibilities when using Brijj, including the content you share, messages you send, and interactions you have with other members.

Privacy Policy

1. Acceptance of These Terms

Brijj ("we," "us," or "our") provides the Brijj application and related networking services (the "Services"). These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Services. By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. These Terms do not waive rights or protections that applicable law does not permit you to waive. If you use Brijj for an organization, you must have authority to act for it; you remain responsible for your own conduct.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old and meet the minimum age required by the law where you live. In the EEA or United Kingdom, additional parental authorization requirements may apply to users below the applicable digital-consent age, which can be up to 16. Where that authorization is required and has not been obtained, you must not use the Services.

If you are below the age of legal majority, you may use Brijj only where local law permits and with a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. You must have the legal capacity or required authorization to enter this agreement. We may suspend accounts that do not meet these requirements.

3. Your Account and Accurate Information

Provide accurate account and profile information and keep it up to date. Do not impersonate another person or organization, misrepresent qualifications or affiliations, or create an account for someone without permission.

Keep your credentials secure and do not share access to your account. Notify us promptly through the in-app feedback option if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity you authorize and for taking reasonable steps to protect your account; this does not make you automatically liable for unauthorized activity beyond your control.

4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct

Use Brijj lawfully and respectfully. You must not:

  • Send threats, harassment, discriminatory abuse, sexually exploitative material, or content promoting violence or illegal activity.
  • Commit fraud, impersonate others, send spam or unsolicited bulk promotions, or use misleading recruitment or investment solicitations.
  • Publish another person’s private information without authority, violate intellectual property rights, or distribute content you do not have permission to share.
  • Solicit passwords, payment credentials, or sensitive personal information through deceptive means.
  • Distribute malware, bypass access controls, interfere with the Services, scrape member data without authorization, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Use the Services to exploit minors, facilitate trafficking, or engage in other unlawful conduct.

You may report concerns through the feedback option in your profile. Brijj is not an emergency service; contact local emergency services if someone is in immediate danger.

5. Your Content and Permissions

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including profile details, photos, forum posts, comments, introductions, and messages ("Your Content"). You are responsible for its accuracy, legality, and the permissions needed to provide it. Do not share confidential employer, client, or third-party information without authorization.

You grant Brijj a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, transmit, and display Your Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, and provide the Services. We may allow service providers to exercise this license solely for those purposes. This is not a license to sell Your Content or use private messages in advertising.

Deleting content or your account ends this license for ongoing use, except to the extent necessary for recipient-held copies, lawful retention, backups, or resolving existing disputes, as explained in the Privacy Policy. Other members may retain copies they already received.

6. Messages, Introductions, and Personal Responsibility

Messages and introductions are communications between members. You are personally responsible, to the extent provided by applicable law, for what you write, send, promise, or agree to, including defamatory statements, threats, unlawful disclosures, fraud, and infringement. An introduction or connection does not make Brijj a party to your communications or agreements.

Chat messages are encrypted on your device before storage and decrypted for conversation participants. Introductions and other profile or forum content are not covered by that chat encryption. Encryption does not prevent a recipient from copying, photographing, forwarding, or disclosing a message and is not a guarantee of absolute confidentiality.

We do not endorse member messages or verify every claim made by a member. You are responsible for assessing whom you contact and what information you disclose. Subject to applicable law and our own legal duties, Brijj is not responsible for another member’s statements, actions, omissions, or resulting disputes.

Agreements, employment discussions, purchases, meetings, and other arrangements between members are their own responsibility. Take reasonable precautions when meeting or transacting with others. These Terms do not excuse unlawful conduct or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

7. No Professional Advice or Guaranteed Outcomes

Brijj provides networking tools, not legal, medical, financial, investment, employment, or other regulated professional advice. Member content and automated suggestions should not replace advice from a qualified professional.

Recommendations and generated drafts may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable. Review and edit any draft before sending it; you are responsible for the final message. We do not guarantee the identity, qualifications, reliability, or availability of members, nor any match, introduction, job, business opportunity, response, or outcome.

8. Service Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without express or implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or absolute security.

We may maintain, modify, or discontinue features. Nothing in these Terms excludes statutory guarantees, consumer protections, or other warranties that applicable law requires.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Brijj and its operators, personnel, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential losses arising from use of the Services, including lost profits, lost business or employment opportunities, lost goodwill, or loss of data, even if advised that such losses were possible.

Subject to applicable law, these exclusions also apply to losses caused by member content, messages, introductions, reliance on recommendations, unauthorized disclosures by recipients, and interactions or transactions between members. They do not remove responsibility for our own conduct where the law imposes liability.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, intentional misconduct, gross negligence where exclusion is prohibited, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Where an exclusion is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent the law permits.

10. Indemnification and Your Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify Brijj and its operators and personnel against third-party claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs arising from your unlawful conduct, Your Content, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms, but only to the extent attributable to your conduct.

This obligation does not apply to losses caused by Brijj’s own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach, or where consumer law prohibits the obligation. We will give reasonable notice of a claim and an opportunity to participate in its defense. No settlement imposing an admission or non-monetary obligation on you may be agreed without your consent, which must not be unreasonably withheld.

11. Suspension, Termination, and Account Deletion

We may restrict content, suspend access, or terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, legal requirements, fraud, security threats, or serious risks to others. Where practical and legally permitted, we will explain the reason and provide an opportunity to contact us about the decision; urgent safety action may occur without advance notice.

You may stop using Brijj at any time and request account deletion through in-app Settings. Retention and deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy. Provisions that by their nature must survive termination, including responsibility for prior conduct, permitted retained-content rights, liability limits, and dispute provisions, continue to apply.

12. Third-Party Services and Links

Brijj may use third-party authentication, infrastructure, or other services and may display links or content supplied by members. Third parties have their own terms and privacy practices. A link or integration is not an endorsement.

You are responsible for reviewing applicable third-party terms. We do not control independent third-party sites or member-provided links; this does not limit any responsibility we have under applicable law for service providers acting on our behalf.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Services or applicable law. We will update the dates above and provide reasonable notice of material changes through the Services or another appropriate channel before they take effect, except where urgent legal or security requirements require otherwise.

If you do not agree to revised Terms, stop using the Services and you may delete your account. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance only to the extent permitted by law. Where express consent is legally required, continued use alone does not replace it.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are subject to applicable law, including mandatory consumer and privacy protections in your place of residence. They do not impose a particular foreign jurisdiction, waive class-action rights, or require binding arbitration.

Please first contact us through the in-app feedback option to seek an informal resolution. This is not a prerequisite to exercising statutory rights, filing a complaint with a regulator, or seeking urgent relief. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, either party may bring it before a court with jurisdiction under applicable law, including any local court to which you are entitled as a consumer.

If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law. A failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.

15. Contact Us

For questions about these Terms, disputes, or concerns about member conduct, contact Brijj using the feedback option on your profile. Include enough information for us to understand your request, but do not include passwords or other sensitive credentials.
